Hello, I’m Nicola
Registered Nutritional Therapist MCIPD, DipION, MBANT, rCHNC
I have spent most of my working life working as an HR professional, in a variety of sectors. Early in my career, I was working hard and extraordinarily long hours and while life was good, I was suffering from heavy periods, that had caused me problems since my late teens. Despite trying several different medications and modes of treatment that suppressed the problem, I was finding my condition debilitating.
Things didn’t start to improve until one day a friend who shared similar symptoms suggested I see their nutritional therapist. I had nothing to lose so I booked an appointment and was met by the most empathetic, kind and supportive nutritional therapist who, over the following six months helped me to get to the root cause of my issues. After further tests and investigation, my condition was diagnosed as adenomyosis and fibroids. Through optimising my nutrition and identifying and supplementing my sub-optimal nutrient levels, my symptoms reached a manageable level. I felt the best I had in years; a healthy weight and I looked and felt like a new person, all thanks to the power of optimal nutrition.
It wasn’t until a few years later, when I happened to work at a medical research centre, that my interest in science was rekindled and having experienced the power of nutrition first-hand, I was inspired to retrain and help others improve their health through diet and lifestyle changes, as I had mine.
I qualified as a registered nutritional therapist at the renowned Institute for Optimum Nutrition and I’m a registered member of two professional and regulatory bodies for nutritional therapy, the British Association for Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine (BANT) and the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC).
I now focus on helping others achieve better health, through a personalised approach to optimising their nutrition and feeling their very best.
